Grading Policy
2026-2027 Grading Policy
Each school year, the IS 125Q community reviews our grading policy. Our grading policy puts the most emphasis on the work that is completed within the school day. Homework plays an important part of a young person's education, but homework is a reinforcement for the work that was taught in class. Homework is also a way in which students can demonstrate their own levels of time management and meeting the obligations as students.

Literacy Hubs (6th & 7th Grades)
The Lit Hub classes do not receive grades. Students in foundational reading classes will receive quarterly updates on skills mastered.
Students in Enrichment classes will receive a 1-4 scale rating.
Advisory Classes
Students in Advisory classes will receive a 1-4 scale rating.
Our teachers work together across grade level and content area to be as cohesive in their grading and project assignment.
